Hey everyone,
I'm sorry to report that my bike is now practically worthless. It was hit on the street while parked and there is too much damage to warrant repairs.
Damage includes:
Cracked engine case
Bent shifter lever
Dented gas tank
Bent frame
cracked headlight and mount, etc.
SO, my savage is but a fond memory.
HOWEVER, I had just bought some parts to soup up my bike. Since I've lost the receipts, I'd be happy to pass some savings on to any willing takers in an attempt to recoup some of my investment.
PARTS FOR SALE!!!!
1) Jardine Slip on muffler (New, just out of the box and usused with all the hardware necessary. This pipe is slash cut and WILL sound awesome on this bike. I got it because it was exactly the pipe I wanted.)
Dennis Kirk Price: $139.99 + S/H
My price: $100 + s/h
2) Highway bars with designer foot pegs (The perfect add-on for comfort while going long distance. These were gonna make my bike MUCH more comfortable. My buddy had a virago 535 that he put a set on and it was much cooler than stock. This is still in the wrapper with all hardware and instructions!)
Dennis Kirk Price: $61.99 + s/h
My price: $50 + s/h
3) Replacement gas tank for 1997 Savage, color black (My tak had damage so I got this one off of e-bay from some jerk who needed three weeks and numerous e-mails threatening litigation to send it to me. He was suspended from e-bay for treating everyone who bought from him the same way. Unreal. Anyway, this tank has never been used and is V.G. Condition. There are a few minor scratches and a barely noticeable flat spot the size of a quarter on the tank near the front left corner. I was gonna have it custom painted with flames. Too bad, this took alot of patience to get)
Appx. Retail value : $275
My price (what I paid on ebay) : $175 +s/h
The first two parts are part numbers : 44-294 and 49-335 respectively.
Go to: www.denniskirk.com to search the catalog for these items for descriptions and pictures.
Feel free to respond to me directly and I'll let you know s/h costs, payment options, and final pricing. (I may be willing to haggle a bit, or even give a discount for someone buying the whole shabang)
I just figure that as long as I'm losing my sweet suzi, I might help my fellow savage lovers get a good deal.
B/T/W looking at a brand new, unridden Yamaha V-Star classic 650. BIG bike. i think I might have to buy her. . . .
I'll let you all know.
$4995 is too good of a price to ignore.
